I’m currently an Applied AI Researcher at BMO AI Capabilities team, working on Trustworthy AI Initiatives for financial application. I graduated from the University of Toronto with a Master degree in Machine Learning and Computer Security, supervised by Prof. Nicolas Papernot. I was affiliated with the Vector Institute. I obtained my B.A.Sc in Computer Engineering from UofT as well.
My research interests are at the intersection of Machine Learning and Security. When an increasing number of machine learning systems are deployed in our society, how to measure and verify the trustworthiness of those intelligent systems becomes crucial. I’m particularly interested in adversarial examples, privacy implications of machine learning algorithms on our society, as well as combating Deepfakes.
